2014 climate diplomacy leaves massive workload for 2015

This year’s UN climate change summit, held in Lima, went into the customary extra-time and left much to do ahead of next year’s Paris conference – the deadline for negotiators to reach a new global climate agreement. I wrote on the Lima outcomes for the Foreign Policy Centre, on the October preparatory meeting in Bonn and the UN’s climate Technology Executive Committee for Eco-Business and on what the US-China joint statement on climate could mean for the multilateral process for China Dialogue. A more comprehensive summary of the Lima summit is provided by IISD’s Earth Negotiations Bulletin.
