On November 4th, I was very pleased to host the first session of the new STL Law and Sustainability Colloquium, broadcast live on ClassIn. The colloquium series is hosted by Peking University’s School of Transnational Law. The intent is to provide a focus for engagement with urgent law and sustainability issues, sparked by presentations from leading academics and practitioners.

For the first session, Christoph Schwarte, Executive Director of Legal Response International (LRI), gave a presentation on the topic of “International climate change law and negotiations in times of COVID-19”. The LRI is a London-based charity that provides free legal support to developing countries and civil society observer organisations in connection with the international climate change negotiations. Many thanks to Christoph for a thought-provoking discussion.

The webinar is available on YouTube and also as an episode of the STL podcast, Legal Frontiers.
